Chamber celebrates 25 years of awarding business excellence

At a sold-out crowd of 350 at Kamloops Convention Centre on Saturday, October 23rd, the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce | TD Canada Trust Small Business Banking presented 16 newly designed star awards to the winners of the 2010 Business Excellence Awards.

This year marks the 25th consecutive year that the Chamber has held this event for the Kamloops business community.  Chamber President Peter Aylen: “The Business Excellence Awards ceremony just gets better each year and we are proud to honour our business community in this way.”

TD Small Business Advisor Traci Froese: “TD is committed to helping small business customers invest, innovate and grow.  The Business Excellence Awards celebrates these businesses’ achievements and we are thrilled to be a part of it.”

To commemorate the 25th year, the Chamber presented new, more substantial glass “star” awards.  “We felt that this was a perfect year to change the look and feel of the awards,” stated Peter Aylen.  While the star theme was maintained, the new awards are much larger and heftier than in years past.
