Business Excellence Awards
The Kamloops Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards is celebrating its 25th Birthday in 2010! Long considered to be the premiere business event of the year, the Business Excellence Awards are a high profile, prestigious accomplishment for Kamloops businesses.
Overview
A total of sixteen Business Excellence Awards make up the compliment. Each award category has its own criteria. In May, the Chamber will exend a call for nominations asking Kamloops to nominate deserving local businesses. Call for Nominations closes at the end of June and nominees are notified of their nomination and asked to provide information supporting their nomination. After all the nominee informatin is gathered an independent committee for each category will diligently study each nominee's submission to determine the top three finalists in each category. Members of this Selection Committee are made up of 40 business leaders from various organizations across the Kamloops business community.
All of the nominees are honored at a beautiful reception in September. That night, the Selection Commitee's chosen finalists are announced and the next day Chamber members vote for their favourites. On October 23, 2010 we will celebrate those who have been chosen by their peers as the best of the best in Kamloops!

Media attendance at this event is extensive.
